Chenies Manor House 

Winner of the Historic Houses Association & Christie's Garden of the Year Award 2009, The Manor's beautiful five acres of garden include The Sunken Garden, Physic Garden, Kitchen Garden with two mazes.Some key dates to visit are:End of April to the beginning of May 6,000 tulipsFrom Mid June to October Annuals, Dahlias, Cosmos.HistoryBuilt in 1460 Sir John Cheyne and added to in 1526 by Sir John Russell (Earl of Bedford) the Manor is now the MacLeod Matthews family home.

Village History

Chenies village lies in the very eastern part of south Buckinghamshire, near the border with Hertfordshire. It is situated to the east of Chesham and the Chalfonts. Chenies is also a civil parish within Chiltern district. Until the 13th century, the village name was Isenhampstead.
